NASELI connects Nebraska K–12 teachers with free, ready-to-use science lessons grounded in the agricultural phenomena happening right outside your classroom door. Every resource in our library is aligned to Nebraska standards and designed to make corn, cattle, dairy, and ethanol come alive in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science classrooms across the state. Whether you are searching for your next lesson or joining us for summer professional development, NASELI is your home for agriculture-integrated science education in Nebraska.
Nebraska classrooms deserve science lessons that feel local. The NASELI Lesson Inventory connects K–12 teachers with free, standards-aligned resources built around the crops, cattle, and agricultural systems that define Nebraska. Every lesson is grounded in real phenomenon, the kind your students can see from the road or find on the lunch tray, and mapped to Nebraska science, literacy, and social studies standards so you can use them with confidence. Browse by grade band and subject, or ask our interactive search tool to find exactly what you need.
The NASELI Summer Leadership Institute takes Nebraska teachers out of the classroom and into the field. Each summer, we bring together K–12 science educators for multi-day professional development experiences at working farms, ethanol plants, ag production facilitites, and animal research centers across the state. You will leave with new content knowledge, field-tested lesson ideas, and a network of colleagues who share your commitment to relevant, rigorous science teaching. Applications open each spring...we hope to see you in the field.
